Custom Design

Irina has built her business on creating custom couture garments. Her specialty is cocktail and formal attire, but she can recreate or copy almost anything from casual pants to bridal gown. Irina guides each client through the creative process lending her expertise in design to bring her clients’ dreams to reality.  Our state of the art sewing equipment allows us to work with all types of fabrics: silk, lace, chiffon, suede, leather, wool, fur, intricate beaded fabrics, and so much more.

The process of custom design is easy. First, we ask the client to provide us with the inspiration photos for their garment. Then, during the consultation, we go over the details. After everyone agrees, we begin to look at fabric. Irina begins by providing in-stock options at the meeting. Next in the process, Irina takes client’s measurements, and we begin the pattern making process. Each pattern is created specifically to the person’s measurements, and the garment is tailored at each fitting until the final product is complete.

All pricing and turn-around times vary depending on the complexity of the garment. Garment construction is done locally in Philadelphia at Irina Sigal Dressmaker in Rittenhouse Square.
